Blue, the chromatic and sonorous power

This essay deals with the last Jarmanís film, Blue (1993) that consists in the unbroken exhibition of the color blue that cover the full screen. The paper focuses on the connection between opposite and combined forces, two expressive-exclusive powers that the movie connects in a complex way: the color as expression and symbol of blindness, as illness and annulment of life, and the sound that works as residual durability of the ending life.
